Senior Civil Engineer

Dr. Jorgomai Ceesay,a Senior Structural Engineer with over fifteen (15) years experience in the United States of America in civil/structural engineering design, supervisory functions and project management, is a Professional Engineer (P.E.), registered in the District of Columbia (Washington DC), the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr. Ceesay’s extensive experience includes broad-based responsibilities in the fields of structural bridge design, bridge inspection, nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and load rating of steel and concrete highway bridges for grade separations and stream crossings, as well as design of retaining walls and mass transit structures. Furthermore, his background encompasses comprehensive knowledge of bridge design standards and codes, as well as design of structural elements in nuclear power plants.

Dr. Ceesay is currently the Bridge Inspection Supervisory Engineer for U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Highway Division (FHWA) Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD) Federal Lands Bridge Office, where he manages, conducts, and directs the nationwide bridge safety inspection program for the National Park Service and other Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMA), comprising a total inventory of approximately 3000 structures, where is annual administrative budget is about $5 million.

Dr. Ceesay holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Master of Science and Bachelor Degrees all in Civil Engineering – Structures from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in the USA.
